George McNamara Testimony - August, 2009

We are pleased to present to you a life changed by the power of Jesus Christ...

George McNamara came to the Jacob House Discipleship Program from Times Square Church in New York City with a life controlling addiction to drugs and alcohol. Prior to coming to Jacob House he had established himself in the New York Mercantile Exchange. He labored in the hectic lifestyle of commodities floor broker to provide for his family of six, but he was living without God in this world.

Throughout this time, George's mother had been faithfully attending Times Square Church and praying for his soul, laying hold of a promise from the Lord that God would save her son and raise him up to be used of God. When the kingdom he was building for himself came crashing down by the providence of God, George was directed to the Jacob House. Having been immersed in self and pride, George began to find rest for his soul as the Holy Spirit began to open his eyes, convict him of his sin and draw him to Jesus. George was gloriously born again as he repented and asked Jesus to be Lord and savior of his life. After a few months in the Jacob House, in one of Sister Beth's classes, George received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gave the utterance. This totally changed his life as he embarked on a path of discipleship.

Today George has a testimony of restoration, the unfailing mercy of God and the power of the Word of God, that can take a sin sick heart and transform it into a Trophy of Grace. He is presently working diligently on the NYMEX trading floor for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom. The Lord has also restored George as a husband and father, to be priest of his household. Our God still works miracles.
